This class is a preparatory class for the national credential of Certified Professional Coder (CPC) as well as other similar credentials (CMC, CCP, PCS, CCS-P). It covers general and detail aspects of medical coding that an applicant will need to master in order to successfully achieve this certfication. Anatomy and medical terminolgy is integrated into this learning experience. Each student is challenged in learning with interactive classroom instruction, textbook, regular quizzes and midterm and final examinations. Learn from an instructor who has provided this instruction for 15 years and who is a trained teacher. Each student is special and their learning experience is very important to us. The class meets for 3 hours each session (one day a week) and the course lasts for 23 weeks.

This class is a preparatory class for the national credential of Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). It covers both inpatient and outpatient coding principles plus anatomy, medical terminology, pathophysciology of human disease, pharmacology and inpatient/outpatient billing concepts. The class meets one night a week for 3 hours and the course lasts for 20 weeks. Due to the nature of this certification multiple textbooks and resources are used to assist the coder in theory and practicum. Each student is challenged in learning with interactive classroom instruction, regular quizzes and case studies and midterm and final examinations. Working with eash student to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills is fundamental to our learning experience.
